Unlocking the Promise of YOUTH EMPLOYMENT in Agriculture in Sub-Saharan Africa —Case Studies from Uganda

This study provides examples of successful youth-led enterprises in agriculture and agribusiness. It aims to encourage young people to consider the agriculture sector as one of the best options for selfemployment, thereby combating high youth unemployment. Documented models have been compiled to inform policymakers and development partners on how to assist young people to become successful agro-entrepreneurs, create jobs, move into the fast-growing agribusinesses roles, take advantage of other sustainable rural economic opportunities, and improve incomes by raising productivity.
